SPACE PLANNING
Make room for the way you live

A thoughtful layout begins with your daily rituals, rather than a shopping list of furniture.
Notice your everyday patterns
Before moving furniture, consider how you enter the room, where you gather, and what you do there most often. A reading corner needs a different relationship to light and seating than a space used for conversation or working from home.
Give each piece a purpose
Start with the largest pieces and test how people move around them. Keep the routes between doors and frequently used areas comfortable. A smaller collection of useful pieces can make a room feel more generous than filling every available corner.
Try the layout before committing
Use a simple sketch or mark furniture footprints on the floor. Check whether chairs can pull out comfortably and whether storage is easy to reach. Spend a little time with the arrangement and adjust it around real life.
